Dirty bomb unbalanced!

(Gamersallday147) #1

I’m done with this game until they fix unbalanced matches im sick of 53 to 60 players on one team. they got to fix the team shuffle most low level players that are on that same team hit no cause they want to win. the thing they need to add into the game is a auto shuffle if theres too many high levels on one team a system should change them to the other team and balance the game.

Levels don’t necessarily equate to skill.

This could all be easily avoided if player levels were actually hidden ingame.

Yea, but as a lvl 37 i still get pwned by lower lvl players, and sometimes I may have a suspicion that they may be hacking, and you couldnt really tell if they were if levels werent shown

look at tf2, no one is complaining that new guy is playing with guy that has over 1000h
because there arent any levels

Levels don’t mean a thing. I see people under level 10 almost every day who are nearly as good as me and I’m level 82. There is plenty of level 70+ people who still play worse than I did at level 10. There’s level 30’s who still +back with Vassili doing nothing to help their team do the objective or even cover the person trying to do the objective.

Also not to mention, heaps of people have alternate accounts now, so there’s plenty of sub level 10 people who are actually level 50 or higher.

I’m so tired of people joining a game, seeing that 2 people on the other time have let’s say 20+ level, trying a shuffle vote, getting killed, then calling the game unbalanced. People need to not be able to think they can judge the balance of a game before they even try. It will always seem unfair if you think it is. SD plz remove levels being public.

Hiding levels wouldn’t do anything other than hide part of the reason the other team stomping you (as a low-level). In general, higher levels are better than lower levels. If they’re stacked on one team, it’s quite obvious which team will win most of the time. There are some circumstances where lower levels are better, but that’s uncommon. For the majority of players, experience, although it may not necessarily equate to skill, adds a big advantage in Dirty Bomb.

Hiding levels would stop players from complaining about higher levels stacking on one team, but they would still complain about the imbalanced matches as a result of the stacking.

Too bad there’s no way to stop the derping around that a lot of players do for some reason. I’m not sure if I’m the only one that’s noticed, but some players look like bots… They are very… slow? It’s hard to explain, but it looks as if they’ve never played a game in their life. I get into matches where half my team is like this sometimes. I don’t know what it is either because there’ no way that many people just happened to start up Dirty Bomb as there first FPS. ???

Exactly this, people give up before they even try. If there is a higher level on a team its like… “well gg, we lost.” attitude, which often prompts the usual level shaming and GET A LIFE comments.

So what if I play DB a lot? its one of the only games I am currently playing, and I’ve played it off and on for over 2 years now. I feel like I’m being punished for actually playing the game and helping to keep it populated.

Get rid of levels, or give of the option to hide them, I’m really sick of all the negativity around them. Often attempting to play a quick game to just relax and have some fun, turns into a tedious debate with some jerk who feels like they should have the server all to themselves because they are low level players and I for some reason should go away.

If I had a dime for every time I have seen this thread…

After you play the game for a while, you start to recognize players that play well by their name alone, so the levels are unnecessary. Also, levels don’t help spot cheaters, when people cheat to the point that it affects the game, it’s incredibly obvious(1-shot headshot kills with the light pistols, team wipes by the same player repeatedly, instantly killing everyone as they go around a corner, etc.), and a low level doing well does not mean they’re cheating. I’ve seen a lot of professional streamers play this game and lead scoreboards at level 5-7.

Even so, if you just ask nicely, there’s sometimes someone who’s willing to switch teams to fix imbalance, and unbalanced matches will usually last 2-7 minutes so most of the time you should be playing in balanced games anyways.

There are multiple threads that are discussing this subject and as of the time of this writing some on the front page. So I am closing this thread.
