I was looking at the main site for this game, and seeing the art and design of all the mercs in this game. Then I saw some dude with a mask, a sword, and what appeared to be a shield generator on his shoulder. Is he in the game? Or just something they created for fun?

He was in the game before but I’m not sure why he isn’t now. They also removed Sparks who’s a healer.

edit: I think they’ll add them back though.

What makes you think that? I mean, I’d love them too. Even in FPS games I always find it a really fun and interesting challenge, bringing a knife to a gun fight and trying to come out on top. It gives me a good rush. I hope you’re right.

They will be added into the game in the months to come. Alpha versions of those Mercs were tested last year.

Other players have also been retracted for reevaluation. The reasoning for these retractions was never explicitly explained but it can be estimated that they were due to a sensed over powered-ness. Their return is definitely anticipated and to be expected. I do believe they stated when they took them away that they would only become temporarily unavailable.
