Wow now thats pretty cheap if you ever planned on putting money for mercs.
I still love them for setting up this package with all these Monsters to get people started. Plus you get a free merc of your choice added for the credits in the pack.

These days are definitly a great time to join the game!

For those wondering, “Can I buy like 20 of these and get a million credits?”

The answer is sadly, no.

I bought the Ultimate pack but the two elite cases I got are the old generic one, shouldn’t they have update the two elite cases so user would get an Elite Case A & B.

I’m so disappointed…

What happens if you already have a merc listed?

You have to decide if it’s still worthwhile - been there, done that, bought the pack as it was still cheaper than buying them separately just not as much of a bargain.

At £5.74 that’s less than the price of many single mercs (£6.99) so with 50k credits thrown in I’d say it’s a no-brainer if you’re looking to spend money regardless if you have a couple of the mercs already.

Only 1hr left on the sale, grab it while you can!

Just sad I didn’t get the new updated elite cases. :(, ow well!
Still damn good deal and well worth. I just hope my two elite cases don’t go to waste with crappy random build. fingers cross!

I’ve been a right negative dick on the forums this week (sorry!), but just an observation about this “flash” sale:

I didn’t notice the game was even on sale until I happened to see this post on my phone from work this afternoon. It was tweeted about first at 10:25 GMT - I’m not exactly glued to Twitter or steam sales at that time of night, and I didn’t get home from work until after the sale was over.

Are we only trying to appeal to the US market for this stuff? I get that it’s Nexon America, but when I first got into the game I was thrilled to hear that for once the devs were Brits!

Just a food for thought post, it doesn’t actually effect me since I got my starter pack way back in closed beta when they first appeared, but I can imagine some UK/EU folks feeling a bit shafted by the timing of this if they’d been holding out for a sale.

In all honesty I think the devs maybe dropped the ball on this one. I actually tweeted about it before the Dirty Bomb twitter did and I posted here and on the Splash Damage forums to try and spread the word as much as I could. I’m guessing it was just a marketing oversight, but yeah it was a big missed opportunity to get some fresh blood in.

You can set up a steam notification that will tell you when a certain game is on sale.

Sure, I know that - but my point stands. Putting a game on sale late at night and taking it off sale before many people even get home from work the next day isn’t exactly helpful.

(SiegeFace) #13

Even though im quite ticked that it has gone on sale a week after i bought it (story of my life with every game/dlc i buy directly from steam), i still feel happy knowing my money is going towards the devs in hopes of making dirty bomb even better.

EDIT : its like gaben himself says “hmmm SiegeFace bought x item, let us put it on sale a few days afterwards to really grind his gears”

Censoring my self here, please put the appropriate swears in the correct places ; )

Well, nope, because I did not recieve an email, and it kind of xxxxx me off.

Why make such a short and badly announced sale, and why did steam not notify the people with the game on the wish list?

Yep I second that… but … NOT

I have been waiting for this pack to go on sale and it was part of my Wishlist. Ho what a crappy surprise to realize 2 days after the sale came thru that I had missed this and that it wasn’t ever advertised anywhere on Steam, no Daily or Mid-Week Deal spot, no notification for Wishlist item being on sale… NOTHING.

So since I’m not a twitter user you expect me to visit the Steam Store Page for Dirty Bomb everyday for me to notice it ???

I posted about it on the Steam Game Forum but didn’t get any Dev attention there.

How about you do it properly sometime soon by making it a Sale for a day at least and properly advertise it thru the correct channel, a Daily Deal at the minimum.
