Dirty Bomb suggestions

#Things that should be changed to make Dirty bomb better:
(in my opinion)


##Minor things:

  • Give credit reward for playing the tutorial,

##Major things:

  1. Improve Quickjoin:
  • Casual matchmaking
  • Try to put under level 5 in max level 5 lobbies
    .
  1. Make private matches better:
  • Change the min 5 payer limit to min 4
    Give more customization options:
  • Movement speed,
  • Health,
  • etc
    .
  1. Map editor:
  • This would be very hard to do but would but would help immensely with content among other things
    .
  1. Trading System:
  • Allow for the trading of cards
    (A fee for trading should be added for trading too.)
    .
  1. Community Servers:
  • Allow for the creation of user-hosted servers
    (please do this… it would help immensely)

#Maybe:

  • Add merc limit in ranked
  • Allow the same merc to be added to squad multiple times but with different loadout cards
  • Add credit reward for assault course
  • Add leaderboard for assault course
  • Separate hitsound and hit indicator for team damage

if you have any ideas or disagreements, please tell me.

The overall meta balance between mercs.

Most notable, the popular demand of separating Phantom’s cloak from EMP, and then curling the said EMP into a grenade/hearbeat-sensor equivalent.

i purposefully did not include balance changes or bug fixes due to the fact that the dev team probably has better information. though inspiration like “EMP into a grenade/hearbeat-sensor equivalent” and bug reports may help them i just chose that it would be better placed elsewhere.

i may or may not have hidden incentives which may or may not include trolling my friends with some totally balanced changes which may or may not be to my advantage.

The OP joined while I was asleep about three hours ago, and he managed to compile almost everything the community wants. I’d upvote this post to heaven if I could.

i posted a slightly different version of this post to the dirty bomb dev blog and it ended up being top comment and seeing that other people seemed to agree i though it would be a good idea to post it to the forum too.

The main thing I want is a map editor/community-made maps. Personally, I’m not a fan of Dirty Bomb’s maps other than Dome and Chapel (Chapel for the insane exp you can get with ease as a fire support). I loved the blockout version of Dockyard and only wish I could play on it again! I’d like to see a variety in the maps and maps from the community is the best way to do that!

  1. Remove aimpunch while hipfiring or make it a purely visual effect, but keep it for when people are scoped in. That way you can still attempt to suppress snipers who are scoping in but it doesn’t affect anybody else.
  2. Reduce spread and spread increase across the board for everything except shotguns. That way you don’t have these weird scenarios where it’s better to go for body shots because the spread is so high that at mid-long range you can’t reliably hit headshots after the first couple shots in a spray anymore.
