Well if it’s a new account, and you’ve played all the mercs before, you should know whether the value is there for you or not. I would say yes, because it gives you the base-set of mercs (Arty, Fragger, Proxy, Sawbonez and Vassili), as well an elite case A and B, and 50,000 credits - so you can buy one more merc of your choice.

So from your other threads I understood that you spend money on your main account and now you made a new one to spend more money on?

What puzzles me is why you’d want to make a new account anyways.

I’m actually thinking of making a second account to use the Steam controller with. So if stats ever become available I know exactly how awful I am compared to using a mouse and keyboard.

After a lot of tinkering I got that steam controller to work rather well with DB. It will never be better than a mouse and keyboard but definitely a better option than an analog stick which the game does not support fully (even if UE3 does). It could help out some players who have physical issues that prevent them from using a mouse/keyboard (more people than you’d think).

The way I see it, dirty bomb is a free game. And the price of the starter pack is quite a cheap price to pay for a full game. I’m happy to give the devs a few bucks for such a good deal.

Personally I’d choose one of the other bundles that has mercs that fit my play style better.

Starting out, arty and vasilli can be hard to use unless that is your playstyle. For me, the deployables bundle worked well. I cant remember who is in it now aside from bushwhacker and sawbones but I immediately started performing better with bushy as Ive always enjoyed the turret style gameplay.

If I remember correctly it’s Proxy. The starter pack looks much better on paper, but Vassili and Arty are not the best mercs for new players. Deployables may be a better fit.
