Dirty Bomb + Open Broadcast Software = filming a black screen.

Just asking for help to the masters of screen video capture.

I downloaded some days ago OpenBroadcast Software in order to film what happens in Dirty Bomb a bit. The objective : reporting bugs, reporting cheaters, and keeping track of some of the insanity we’re talking about on mumble just to have a good laugh later. One problem : I can’t see poop. I am basically recording a black screen. I can see the game normally, but OBS just record a pitch black screen.

Any idea about how I can solve the issue ?

Go settings and enable Anti-cheat Hook. worked for me.

I can’t find the option. Maybe I am not looking at the right place in the settings menu. Where can I find the option exactly ?

Sources -> right click the source with the game -> properties -> Anti-cheat hook

Indeed, I wasn’t looking at the right place !

However this is not perfect. I did a test footage of me roaming around in the menu. The first 15 seconds or so of my video are stuck. It only unstucks by itself after 23 seconds, and I feel like I am loosing some FPS. Any way to make it more clean ?

In-game performance always goes down for me when streaming/recording. About a 15-20 FPS drop.

I play in 1080dp, but my video encoding is set to 720dp. If i set the encoding to 1080dp it freezes and stutters.

Play around with your settings this is a good tutorial: help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/1262922-open-broadcaster-software

Looks like it’s better now. Thanks a lot.

I wonder what that does… Could I just get a wallhack and tick ‘enable anti-cheat’ and it’d work!?
