Does anyone reading this post play DB with Windows 10? If so, would you mind telling me how it and other games perform with it?
Dirty Bomb on Windows 10
i use a gaming laptop, which everyone and their cousin who’d rather play cards/chess tells me was a horrible idea. heck, i wouldve gotten a desktop if a could, but i had to get a laptop, so might as well get a nice one while im at it.
anyways, its pretty weird. some games run better than others, and personally, i had to dial the game to medium graphical level and turn the resolution all the way down to 1280x720(?) from the 1920x1080 attached to the keyboards to MOSTLY get 55fps, dropping to like 27 for half a second when i turn a corner.
compared to other games…insurgency runs on 50 most of the time, but lags down to like 30 or so when i try to find some targets from a high vantage point(so i just mostly go up close with a rifle or shotgun). triad wars runs pretty bad, at 40 in normal circumstances, 25 driving through the streets, and as low as 17 in some fights in interiors.
and i think DB was more stable on 8.1, i cant remember that well, but i definately didnt need to start a quick recording with fraps to get the UI to move along back then.

Huh, would you mind telling me your PC specs?
Processor: Interl® Core™ i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Display Adapters: Intel® HD Graphics 4600, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M
If you have not installed windows 10, i would probably wait a while, let the early adopters deal with all the hassle when it comes to compatibility, poor performance in games etc…
Still running 7, as I see no reason to upgrade, until 10 get fixed, has all the privacy invasion stuff gutted and DX12 actually gets utilized by games that I actually want to play.
