I go to start dirty bomb like i have for countless other times but this time steam says running dirty bomb but then it never opens.

I believe you have the same issue as I have from time to time.
Dirty Bomb seems to start.
NGS loads. The picture disappears.
Waiting. But nothing happens.
In the task manager you see Dirty Bomb open.
You can not close it. Simply nothing happens.
Trying to start it again doesn’t work as Steam tells you it’s already open.
Closing Steam doesn’t work either as you first have to close Dirty Bomb.
Restarting my pc didn’t always work.
I had to take out my accumulator several times.

My friend had the same issue as well, he tried to re-install the game several times but still no luck. Any solutions ?

Don’t know if this thread is dead or not but I have been experiencing what appears to be the same problem, though I never get NSG picture nothing ever snows up.
Start dirty bomb up and nothing happens, check process and it (ShooterGame-Win32-Shipping) and the Nexon security (BlackXchg.aes*32) are there but not running. I have been looking for a solution’s that works (verify, reinstall, disable firewall) and have not found any that seem to work. You can force close it from the task manger but this will not solve the issue of trying to start it up as it will just fall back into the same state when you try again.
Still have not found any solutions to it yet other than it will just start working again at some random time.

Hello Dirty community.
I had more or less the same issues with Dirty Bomb not launching and i found a solution for my problem.
The thing i did was - navigate to steam folder and delete appcashe and restart. That fixed for me hope it helps some one else. Cheers \o/
