Will they ever add crawling to the game not just crouching just really curious.
Dirty bomb movement
I personally don’t expect and don’t want such a thing since in fast paced game people proning right in front of you could make you lose a gunfight and it is just too slow.
My god a proning Rhino would be a nightmare
It definitely doesn’t feel suited for DB. Feels too slow. The possibility to slide could be welcomed though… Just my two cents.
Agreed with everyone here, a crawl/prone is just waaaaaay too slow for Dirty Bomb. There isn’t a single reason we’d need it.
@Eox Oh my gosh, definitely! We NEEEEED a slide button, that would be awesome! Jumping around and sliding, shooting like a bouncy ninja… hell yeah! XD
yeah, putting that in game would just be a bad idea, there is plenty people who crawl around every corner already, playing the game like CS, proning would probably make it just worse. I think even crawling in DB is intended mostly for going though some cramped spaces and crawl jumps

It’ll turn the game into a slidefest. Warface has sliding and the game doesn’t feel like an FPS. More like a sliding competition. Literally all movement is sliding.
Real talk. I did not buy BF3 after loving and sinking many many hours into Bad Company 2 entirely because they put proning in BF3 after removing it from BC2.
I absolutely hate prone in every single game it’s ever been in as it’s almost always glitchy and abuse-laden and promotes a playstyle type that has never interested me.
The long jump is essentially the “slide” in this game actually if you think about it. Anyways, going prone…na uh, don’t want dropshotting Rhinos with miniguns. Nope.

When I first played this game, I was expecting a slide, it just felt like it would be so incredibly natural and fluid. The fact it wasn’t there was disappointing but after a bit of thought it wouldn’t be that good of an idea.
Too spammable, just like Warface, and shotgun hopping proxys are bad enough, imagine sliding Proxys.
Don’t make it some kind of lame CoD-mechanics-dump and proning Vassilis please.
@Amerika And because BF3 blows big noses… I didn’t even play my free copy on origin longer than an hour.

Yup. I never fired up my free copy either haha. I did play BF4 for a bit but that was due to a couple of friends talking me into it. It didn’t stick though. BC2 TDM and Rush with the ability to take out all of the buildings on every map was fantastic. And no damn proning.
Actually, it’s kind of dumb that a sniper can stand around holding a 20 pound rifle at ready position. It’s even less realistic that a standing sniper can snap to his scope view and fire off headshots. It’s very difficult to shoot accurately while standing (in the real world).
You are talking about realism in a game that allows every mercenary to jump off of walls (twice) and 10+ feet in the air? Not to mention all the other mechanics in the game that has nothing to do with real life. Haha, come on dude
lol@the realism argument. Welcome to a video game bro. I like this game’s movement, it’s nice and fast. Adding prone would make snipers more obnoxious and powerful. Balance > realism. Realism doesn’t have a place in fps’s that aren’t explicitly military sims. Go play ARMA for that sort of stuff.
It’s funny, I actually got super excited about prone in BF3 after not having it in BC2 because I was reminiscing about my BF2 days - which were actually… awful - finally got into BF3 and was like, “wait a minute, prone sucks ass”.
Only if I can slide across boxes to kick a dude in the head than knife him while he’s down.
they said no to prone and leaning early on, i think they considered sliding minus the player knock down

Yup. Prone changes a game and never for the better in my experience. And gameplay issues aside, it’s almost always buggy where you can find spots that allows a player to not be seen/shot but be able to see and shoot. Just not a fan on multiple levels.
