Not really a bug report, more of a question. Over the last 24h DB crashed 3 times. Not a server disconnect, etc. Just the old “Dirty Bomb has stopped working” windows popup we all know and love. Up to yesterday DB has crashed this way maybe twice over 350h of gameplay.
So, anyone else experiencing this? Maybe a sneaky server update messed something up? New NV drivers? Just a coincidence?
Well, the last client update was the CW update and if DB’s executable crashed it probably doesn’t have much to do with the server. So I’m not sure there. However, I have had DB crash a few times on me over the months so it doesn’t surprise me that others will have it crash for them.
One of the best things to check is making sure your system isn’t overheating. Download a utility called Open Hardware Monitor. Turn it on then play DB. Exit and check what your highest temps per core was then look up how hot your proc should be getting under load from a game. Heat is easily the #1 reason why games/applications crash but it’s not always the reason. So it’s good to eliminate that from the list of possible reasons and super easy to do.
Nah, I’m also playing much more demanding games right now and they work fine. I take care of my PC the same way some people treat their cars. So no overheating or other unpleasant stuff allowed
