Dirty Bomb (graphic-)novel; is there one in the making?

(.FROST.) #1

Titel pretty much says(asks) it all. Especially for a pure fps game like DB, this seems to be the most accessable/appropriate way to expand/explain the universe it’s taking place in. Nowadays most games come out with the trans-media in mind. Comics, novels, audio logs, animated movies and series, as well as full blown feature films; you name it. I’d like to see that with DB too.

PS: Even though I opted out from the Hawken beta pretty early, I still dig the game’s artstyle. Therefore I ordered the respective graphic novel.

It’s certainly something we’ve been thinking about. Delighted that you’re interested in such a thing existing : )

Oh, I’m not the bottle-neck here  I’d have liked that for Brink allready*. Hope you guys decide for something like that.

*I’m still working on that one btw., even though it won’t have much of an audience when it’s done(whenever that will be). Guess it’s like mapping and modding; some guys still put out great stuff for long abandoned games.

Don’t forget to have hidden tapirs in the novel

Hello Ed

Glad you finally made it here  Next step pop up to a server one day, heheh

I suppose most of us are curious and interested what you will come up with! Though there hasn’t been much info around from this ascpect of the game so far.

This.

Hang up the thinking cap, put your pen down for a few and lets see some fraggin’.

wut? no way, barricade yourself in the office, stack up on food and water (and some mushrooms) and write a story so great that will become a single player add-on to DB, a series of epic novels, a BBC television series, and finally an Oscar movie

Three years from now you will receive this in your mail:

Heh, if he doesn’t play once, the result might be a brilliant story but totally unaligned to the actual metagame

I think they must keep Ed in stasis and just defrosted him for the video commentary. He’s probably now wandering around the office in his pants logging onto the forums and such mischief.

I am interested in the back story if only to satisfy my finicky finickus about where the army is and why mercs can enter a whole city but clean up crews, security etc can’t.

Oh and yes. With SD working multiple projects I do hope they’ll one day be in a position to do a single player game.
