the idea is if you have got 25 points on this forum you would get code for a special rarity case!
little reward for people who try to help the devs. but idk how skin like that would look like
what do ya think ?

It’s a nice idea, but 25 points is pretty low
And as @DarkangelUK said, what about those on the Splash Damage forums?
Not really sure they would just hand out skins like that either :s but it’s a nice idea though.
i know 25 pionts is pretty low but i didnt wanted to make it like you need to spend 5years on this forum but i wanted to make people helps the devs
I wouldn’t do it, it would encourage spam somewhat, and it really does not feel right IMO. You give your feedback to help the team and because you love the game, not to earn in game content.
If I could earn cases through my number of forum points, I’d just go and spread popular opinions around and call people to upvote me in order to grab as much as I can. It’s definitely something that can be abused.
Can we have points work properly before implementing stuff that’s dependent on points being counted?
I like the idea but we gotta have that first
Another idea: Each rank above NCO awards you with a forum loadout card. Getting moderator gives you a special loadout with a nice skin.
I imagine this will be a spam magnet. Even if the requirement is x amount of insightful badges people will just vote friend posts as insightful. The desire to have that card would probably be larger than the need to write meaningful posts.
Then again I might be wrong about the overal attitude…

bad side of my idea
or just make it a reward for people who are really helping like farleth or amerika
I agree with this. Lmao
But in all seriousness, I do like the idea of a forum-related reward for people who help out. In regards to “rep boosting” this can actually very easily be tracked - even public stats show WHO has given each other rep. So, if someone has clearly been giving someone else an instant rep point on every post they make to boost them, we can see this
It’s shown publicly by hovering over the rep counters.
i know something like that is in tf2 but i never saw that hat because its soo rare

Of course it’s low for you @Faraleth , the fact that you hack and get 1k points a day, while we all struggle to get 1 point a month. You dirty dirty hacker… ):<
Before you dislike, notice I’m using a language vocabulary term: sarcasm :3
I think it could be a cool idea. And it definitely would make the most helpful of us feel appreciated. Yet the “code giving” act shouldn’t be automatic. And the point requirement should be higher.
Finally there’s one issue nobody else addressed. What loadout would it be? For which merc? I’d rather it be a loadout independent skin, that is, once SD implements loadout independent skins.
best one for skyhammer ?
Luckily such a decision is not up to us. We only bring up the ideas and leave the tough job of implementation to SD. XD
What about adding a time requisite on top of minimum points ? At least a year or 6 months on the forum ? This would limit spam on its own, would not it ?
