Dirty Bomb Does not Launch

hey guys ok im just overly frustrated with dirty bomb right now

When i start dirty bomb from the steam shortcut, it launchs XIGNCODE and then just nothing. nothing happens and the game refuses to launch but 3-4 weeks ago it was fine, id have to try 3-4 times but it would eventually launch

AMD FX 8320

Things i’ve tried
Removing a problem causing windows update
Re-updating windows
Re-installing the game and steam
Deleting XIGNCODE folder and verifying
Verifying cache
Run the Shooter EXE as admin and compatability modes
Removing Firewall blocks from windows ( i just use windows firewall mixed with the windows malware tool )
turning off the firewall
Registry clean with CCleaner

Im fed up, i shouldnt have this much trouble running the damn game

Latest ATi drivers 15.7

i COULD downgrade drivers to check if thats the issue, but here’s the facts, you made a game for windows, updating graphical drivers should NOT break the game, and if it does, it should be patched immediately, i had to update to fix a problem with another game

I shouldnt have to downgrade but at the moment, the ATi 15.7 drivers are the only possible reason for this to be happening that i can see

I have had similar issues and want to report them.

When i downloaded DB for the first time it wouldn’t start like OP mentioned. When my antivirus program subscribtion ended a day later, all of a sudden i was able to play it. Therefore the loading bar on the Xigncode card that pops up when launching didn’t fill, i suppose this has already been a problem between this “great” anti-cheat software and my antivirus program.

Since last friday, 10th July, only ONE WEEK later xigncode is bugging me again! When launching the game the loading bar on the card doesn’t fill. Instead of showing nothing at all like in the beginning it now pops up a window that is called “security alert” with all sort of different signs (some like these -> '#*+~&%$§ ) in between and all around them. Looks unprofessional and if i were an antivrus i’d also think that this **** is a freaking virus…
However, it states error code 0xE0191009 and that xigncode couldn’t be sucessfully updated due to insufficient memory (246 gigs free here) or an ANTIVIRUS blocking the internet conncetion. Also the “Get more info” link doesn’t work and the support from wellbia.com (company behind xigncode) doesn’t reply.

Here is what i did to fix it (which didn’t help!):

  • updating all my drivers
  • reinstalling like 5 times
  • creating firewall exceptions for DB .exe (shooter32-whatever-.exe) and xm.exe which is found in the XIGNCODE folder
  • shutting down antivirus and firewall completely
  • running both .exes as admin
  • verifying cache via steam
  • deleting xigncode folder and verifying again
  • deleting solely xmag.xem
  • trying to delete xhunter1 key via regedit (seems to be rather a fix for error 0xE019100b) but it doesn’t exist on my computer
  • sending an email to the support without response until now
  • contacting a guy via steam who seemed to have fixed the problem but sadly told me it was pure luck that the game was working for him again

I ain’t sure anymore if this problem can be fixed by the user. If this is the case i demand some response whether this problem is known and being worked on or if DB is going to use VAC soon, because i did’t have any issues with it ever.
