Dirty Bomb does not launch.

Hi I am on windows 8.1 and this game will not launch. I have already tried the uninstalling of windows update kb3000850 and nothing. The process shows up in task manager when I launch but no windows ever appears and then the process closes by itself. ya thanks

Also tried uninstalling, repairing, changing download locations, tried with the 3000850 windows update installed. tried compatibility options but no go. but why does this happen

I finally got around to installing the 100+ Windows 8.1 updates that wanted to do their thing, and I have this issue too now.
