Dirty Bomb crashes/wont open

So whenever I play dirty bomb, the NGS anitcheat in the corner pops up but just that. The game will never open. It used to work before, and now it doesnt. I had these issues before and again its happening. I fun windows ten so is that an issue. Or is it my AVG. Its the free “zen” one. I really want to get back into playing DB because I gained so many silver cards and the new update that fixed the lag spike and frames issues. Please help me out here.

Hello.

If you are using AVG disable it or add Dirty Bomb to its exceptions list before starting the game.

In case the above step does not apply to your issue reboot your computer in safe mode with networking.
Afterwards restart normally and see if it runs.

Please don’t disagree flag on posts where the person is genuinely trying to help you @KYLEcrocodile17. That is extremely rude.

I would suggest fully turning off AVG and then running Steam and the game with elevated privs by right clicking on Steam and launching as administrator and then going to DB’s install directory and doing the same. It might be some odd priv thing.

Also, I know a friend of mine fixed a similar issue by uninstalling DB and then reinstalling it to a different harddrive. Another thing you can quickly do is backup your config files in the \Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config directory and then deleting those.

My bad I didnt mean to dislike. I seemed to figure out the problem. Before I had these same Issues and I was told to delete some file in the game itself. Doing that so it worked for awhile then eventually it wouldnt launch because it would no longer force download the needed file.
