Dirty Bomb becoming F2P

Im not amused that you guys have dropped Dirty Bomb on the F2P market. I have bought a founder package when the game was called Dirty Bomb the first time. And the only thing that gave me was early access and 4 obsidian mercs.
Why the shifting in standpoint and making the game free for everybody ? The only thing i have as a plus over other people is the 4 obsidian mercs which arent that special to be honest so basicly i shelled out some money for nothing the promised gun tag isnt also still not in the game.I even bought the Ultimate starter pack which only seems to contain 45% of all mercs ?

Cant agree with you the founders pack was to promote DirtyBomb and get it into development if im correct.

If you had been around that long, you would have known the F2P goals. Why you are only complaining after the game has been put to open Beta astounds me. This was a known quantity for over 6 months.

From the very beginning it was going to be F2P. I thought that was very clear when I bought my Founder’s pack. How would you be able to get any perks at all if there wasn’t DLC at the very least?

It was known that it would be F2P before even ‘founders’ were a thing. Guess you forgot to read the big print.

Hmmz shame for the 60 bucks isnt worth the whole founders thingy imho. And the game was fun until open beta so yeah guess it will die a slowly death in my 800+ steam game library. Shamefull it was a nice game until open beta :frowning:

If I could go back in time and buy the founders pack, I would. I would buy it to support a game as fun as this one is because I think I will be playing it for a long time(as long as it doesn’t go p2w).

The game hasn’t changed, just the players in it. They will also change as they learn/leave. It is obviously up to you if you want to abandon a game, so have fun.

Yup. I would buy the founder’s pack too if I could. I’ve put in so much time into this game and have enjoyed that time that I would not mind traveling back in time and being able to help contribute to it’s funding.

I think it might jsut be the influx of new players and with that the hackers/cheaters that make the game horrible for me. about the p2w isnt it that already ?? pay for silver to cobalt cases ?? we will see how this will work out in a long run but for now im going to play other games. and the founder pack thing i liked back then but at that moment it wasnt clear for me that the game would be free in the long run and that the obisidan cards where so moderate good instead of amazingly good. Hope it will comes good in the end

You paid for a founder’s pack, didn’t know what the game was going to be and now don’t even know that the game is most definitely not pay2win. Have you even gotten a chance to play Dirty Bomb? Every single loadout is at the bronze tier without exception. Silver, Gold and Cobalt gives you NOTHING at all as an advantage. All that changes is your merc/gun skins. They are cosmetic only.

Silver, Gold and Cobalt are just reskinned bronze loadouts. You can get all of the loadouts from the Elite Case in bronze form. Nothing p2w, just pay 2 have a different color.

To me it seems more like he spent money assuming he’s going to have a clear advantage over others and now is now upset that the game is not the pay2win model he, thought it would be, invested in.

It was always meant to be F2P. Any game published by NEXON is F2P. However game eventually will need for you to spend money in order to get real nice things. Juts look what happened to Combat Arms, its main in game currency “GP” is practically useless now. If you dont spend real money, you will be left behind and crushed by the ones who do. So get ready to spread those wallets.

Havent seen any info any where that it would become f2p certainly not in the beginning. Why im complaining ? because i payed 60 dollar for a game which now is free for everybody and for what the only thing it got me is 4 obsidian cards. Kinda find that disapointing and next to that half of the perks that i bought havent been added yet so yeah. if you can claim that that doesnt suck be my guest.
Why only complaining after the start of open beta because now its become clear that they go F2P and now the lobbies are overwhelmed with hackers and cheaters. With the closed beta you could have a fun game now its just fucked imho

The point of the founders pack was to support the game and the devs. Now you are mad cause you want something special because you paid more? That’s exactly what p2w would be. Your post makes no sense.

I’ve played a lot of matches since the Open Beta started. I’ve only seen one guy cheating. So, much like how you have been wrong with just about everything else you are probably wrong about that too. It sounds like you’re trying to give yourself more ammunition to be upset about. Remember, if you die quickly, it might be because you didn’t play very well and not because the other person is cheating.
