I felt the same as OP, still i play since first beta. Well, once every two or three monthsâŚ
I donât know if itâs bashing rookies or just the fact rookies need more time to get into DB gameplay. I did rage against the game for a whole year calling it cr@p, but actually, at some point i noticed iâm more into Counter-strike/arma/americaâs army kinda fps ballistic, which isnât the purpose of DB (nor Brink).
So sometime it seems some games arenât made for you, this simple. Thatâs a pitty, i really enjoy the camera and body mvnt feel, the game overall smoothness, but i canât (like, at all) appreciate the shooting. Itâs too nerveous for me and not realistic enough for me. Also characters arenât all balanced yet and a few are overused (i donât have names in mind, but the AK47 guy for example). So, maybe itâs weird to say after two years of testing but, give DB time to be balanced. Thatâs why i donât play everyday, cuz iâm coming back to the game after months of updating to see the differences, see if i can enjoy it a bit more.
And yeah matchmaking could be a solution, even if good players sometime create new character and get back to lvl0. Then itâs like âsuâprise motherf@kar!â.
But really, try to think about what you seek. One can want to love a game, that doesnât mean you will at each and every point, and all you can do is leaving it to others. Once you understand it, you can still play on the beta and give feedbacks about other aspects so your judgement does not conflict with the hardcore contributors.
Still, spawn killing is garbage, SD should fix this. Also i wish they stopped the â1 character = 1 loadoutâ thingy, i donât like much weapons in DB and on top of it, they are on different characters. In order to play without raging at the shooting system i can only play healer and i flee like pussy, canât play otherwise (do the same in Brink). Playing support class is sometime the only fix if you want hard to stay in that game.
