based on tests ive seen, its a vast improvement over DX9/10/11 in terms of performance.
Highly doubtful Unreal Engine 3 will get a DirectX 12 overhaul; it’d require the team to port the game over to UE4 (which I have no idea about the complexity of, but I’d wager it’s not a walk in the park, even though the dev process for both is fairly similar).
