I want to do a corridor with plenty of lights pointing to the floor so that it creates some sort of circles in the floor and cones in the walls.
Ive already tried creating a light, a info_null and pointing the light to the info_null using either control+K or editing by hand the entities, but when i compile the map, most of the the lights don’t work, and the ones that work point anywhere but where they are meant to.
Directed Lights
Ive already tried with the info_notnull, with the same luck. Ive never used radius or fade, what values you give to those??
The really weird thing is that if you go through the light, your weapon lights up correctly, the problem seems with the textures lighting.
which light did you create? this sounds like a lightjuniour but i guess you took the normal light entity, right?
Look at the sample map “goldrush” it has plenty of point lights. (Look at any of the overhanging windows of the streets) With a bit of simple cut and paste you will get working point lights.

:moo:
Im usign the “lights” (no thte lightjunior), and i did exactly the same as goldrush, even with the angle and nonlinear stuff. Maybe my problem is in the compile flags, im currently using
-meta, -vis, -light -fast -filter -samples 2 -bounce 8
(I already tried without bounce and samples)
