Different bindings for "hold" and "toggle"

At the moment we have the option if we want hold to crouch/sprint or toggle. I would prefer it if we had two different keys for each. Like CTRL for “hold to crouch” and C for “toggle crouch”.

Hmm, not a bad suggestion  I could see it being useful, but I’m fairly certain a very large amount of people prefer it one way or another, so I can’t see many people getting that much use out of such a change (considering the dev team would probably have higher priorities, they aren’t even working on a colourblind mode :c)

But anyways, I could certainly see it being useful! I prefer to use crouch-toggle, but I ended up switching my settings to hold-to-crouch due to the way the long-jump works (which requires the crouch before you jump), as I often found myself having to double tap the crouch button, so I wasn’t crouching upon landing… So, +1 from me ^.^

Why i didn’t thought about this?

Maybe, because i am just player which plays shooters without that one :innocent:

I play with hold-to-crouch, but when I am playing Vassili or Redeye holding the crouch key can be a tedious. Having a separate key for each seems like a good idea.

Seems like something you could do in shooterinput.ini

edit:
I’ll try later if nobody else does.

I’d be cool with it existing but due to the amount of times you want to hit crouch quickly for long jumps, doing high jumps off of walls and just getting up onto boxes and through windows easier I can’t see how this feature would help that.

Also, crouching in this game for any amount of time simply makes you dead very very fast so it’s not very helpful there either. It makes sense in other games but not DB.

So yeah, I’d be cool with it existing. I just don’t think it would be helpful to players and could actually cause people to develop bad habits.

They’d be for two separate keys.

I don’t see any downside to this idea, except running out of keyboard space. And anyone who crouches heaps should eventually realise it’s not effective.
