Did you guys play this game first?

(stormlifter) #1

Honestly did anyone in the office even play the game?

  • Multiplayer connections are busted for challenges and inviting friends for PC. (Tried port forwarding and everything)

  • The graphics have terrible glitches all over the place, especially in cutscenes.

  • What on earth is up with all the glass in this game that you can’t break? So hard to tell what you can shoot at and what is going to be protected by perma-glass. Seriously, this just shows you guys didn’t play this game. Unbreakable glass is only okay in 1995.

  • Massive framerate loss on the server browser list. Why do companies always think we need the prettiest server browsers, get rid of that fully animated guy in the background if it’s going to lag the game to all hell.

Honestly I’m having fun playing it, but I just can’t help but feel like you guys got rushed by your publisher and aren’t any better then the other companies that just flush their games into the market without thinking about customer loyalty. I’m never buying your games opening day or even week anymore, just don’t like to be burned.

The AI and animations are from 1995 too

Hmm, I didn’t see destructible Environments as a bulletpoint in their marketing…

(TinMan) #4

Disclaimer:I haven’t played the game so I can’t comment on most of it.

Destructible glass provides nothing to gameplay except for an effect.

Indestructable glass provides further sight lines while blocking shots.

There would be issues if some glass was destructible and some isn’t. Is this the case?

And likewise there would be an issue if the glass was too transparent and was tough to tell if it was there.
This seems to be what you’re saying, is that right?

Yeah the glass is so clear that you can hardly tell it is there. I’ve caught people unloading entire magazines on me before they realize I’m just dancing in front of glass. At the same time I’ve done the same.

(indirect) #6

While I get tricked by the glass too… you don’t think Bulletproof glass fits something dubbed the 8th wonder of the world for it’s safety features? hrm

(linspatz) #7

The glass is tinted slightly blue. But I still have managed to waste a clip shooting someone behind it, and multiple times ran straight into it. With distance its a little hard to see the blue tinting, up close it is not. However I am getting used to where the glass is in the game and am doing better with now. Just like any other fps knowing the map is a very important thing.

(Sheza) #8

I’m sorry, this game is Not Call of Duty : On the Brink.

Destructible glass isn’t a feature.

(indirect) #9

Are you sure?

IGN and Joystiq seem to think so.

(Chrysus) #10

You guys missed the OP’s point about the glass. You can shoot through some of the glass but other glass is bulletproof.

(system) #11

This is called a design decision. If A dev wants glass to be indestructible, then it’s also okay for a game released in 2050.

Did you also tell your own software firewall to allow the ports through, and windows firewall if relevant? www.canyouseeme.org or www.ping.eu can run a port check for you while you’re running the game to see if the ports are showing as open. If not, then you’ve must’ve missed something.

(IceBrazuca) #13

I hate the unbreakable glass in the game. Not because it’s unbreakable but because it’s annoyingly difficult to tell what you can shoot through and what you cant. They should have really tinted the glass a greenish color so we could tell.

(Gamer2Gamers) #14

really there to be honest there is SO MUCH they need to fix to make this game refined and better and from what i’ve been hearing from this forum…these are the best devs to resolve these type of issues?

(trollface) #15

I think the glass is meant to be bulletproof. =)
