They lowered it’s damage drop off by 1 meter on either side of the spectrum, but I really don’t notice the difference in-game. If you bunny hop, that may be your issue they further reduced accuracy while jumping.
It’s the call of the Smg9 master race, it’s aching within your heart, time to switch weapons.

Spread goes to shit after about 10 shots. SMG-9 is a laser beam. Guess which one is used more now.
The initial starting accuracy was increased on the Crotzni, combine that with a faster RoF and the gun tends to bloom more quickly than the SMG 9.
It’s great for close range but at longer distances I find the SMG 9 better.
Personally though I feel like Splash has no clue what to do with these two guns.
Given the unique movement system in Dirty Bomb, I’m confused why increasing spread on-jump was considered a good idea. I understand that it nerfs sniper jump-shots as well as limiting jumping auras, proxys, and fletcher’s… but… Still seems odd. (explanation pls.)
if I could compile a list of statistics like in Symthic for every weapon it would be SOO much easier to understand how/why to balance guns in this game. Sadly I can’t really do that -_-
You can still hop in CQC and hit people with just about any weapon. But the people who started hopping instantly at medium or even long distance now have an even lower chance at hitting people. Which you will see a person who does that on literally every server you play on and even people who have enough time in to know better do it. Hell, one of the guys I play with sometimes and has hundreds of hours played hops like crazy when firing at all distances even now.
