Did the BLISHLOK really get buffed ?

(LuneAttick) #1

Title. I really feel like it shoots faster and is more accurate, I’m not sure though. Also the crotzini seems slightly stronger and generally the game feels a bit more reactive… Or am I just being stupid ?

Maybe you’ve just become at one with the Blishok. Be the Blislok, be the Blishlok…

I thought the Stark AR was terrible after using it for the first time.

Took me a while to just realize I had made poor assumptions about how to use it. (Protip: Contrary to most DMR-role burst fire rifles in games: Don’t ADS)

I usually use the Blishlok when I can even after the major nerfs cause ive always liked the gun even with the nerfs and it does feel like it got a slight buff today

If you are good with stark AR then you are better with BR-16, since they have same stats exept stark has 1 busrt less and scope (scope witch is terible to use).

In my oppinion they should be more differend from eachother and not the (mostly) same.

the sights on the Stark are offset from center more than any sight in the game. Pretty much can’t use them at all at long ranges.

You think the Blishok is your ally?

I was born here using it, molded by it, I didn’t use the Crotzni till I became a nade shooting bad ass chick.

Hochfir my friend, Hochfir. Unbelievable. First Godlike with it.

I doubt it. At least not directly a weapon buff would have been in the patchnotes. Either you are imagine things, they fixed some underlying bug that affected weapons as a whole (maybe some netcode stuff or hitbox related things) or it could be the aimpunch changes.
It now scales with damage.
My guess (didn’t test it) is that weaker weapons do less aimpunch. Reducing the overall jumpiness of your aim in a fight, but at the same time because of blishloks high per bullet damage increasing the aimpunch that the enemy has to suffer. Making it harder for him to retaliate.

Not to get too off topic but who here actually wanted a buff to aimpunch? I don’t even know why it’s in the game to begin with let alone why they would buff it.

(Gi.Am) #11

I didn’t say that it is a buff it could very well be a nerf.
Depends where the cutoff is. For example if the M4 deals the same aimpunch it did before, it would mean that the blishlock/Dreiss/K121/snipers have more aimpunch, but at the same time all SMGs MPs would have less than before. Which I would say is more of a overall Nerf to aimpunch or atleast a good re adjusting.
Ofcourse it hinges all on the question at which damagepoint the old aimpunch sits. if it sits at empire9 damage, sure that would be a huge buff. If it sits at M4 or even higher (lets say Dreiss) it would be a large nerf.

Does anybody know why it’s in the game in the first place? I’ve heard it was to allow players to counter snipers but most good snipers aren’t really affected by aimpunch in the first place anyway (they just shoot as soon as you peek and even if they miss they fall back before taking another shot).

I doubt that it shoots faster than before. However I did notice that recently I was doing better with my Blishlok, but I am pretty sure it’s because I am getting used to it.
