Have you set the coordinates (mapcoordsmins / mapcoordsmaxs) of your map in the worldspawn-entity?
They have to describe a square.
EDIT:
mapcoordsmins are the coordinates in the upper left corner of the x/y view of radiant.
mapcoordsmaxs are the coordinates in the lower right corner of the x/y view of radiant.
For example something like
mapcoordsmins -512 512
mapcoordsmaxs 512 -512
:???: :???:
Ok,Like i read in Hummer’s Tutorial you must go up 64 and left 64.
Is it?
Or is it me that i dont understand it ?
BTW : whats the best tut for total n00bs like me ?
sock’s level designers reference contains many examples (scripts and maps).
It’s an extended version of the reference that ships with the gtkradiant (Help - menu).
Ifurita’s page RTCW/ET 4 newbies (then choose Mapping) contains also some information about mapping and scripting (btw very good scripting tutorial).
Some Tutorials are also at Drakir’s map lair
I guess that are some more.
But haven’t got the addresses at the moment.
Just have read hummer’s tutorial.
It says to add/subtract 64 units to/from the corners I’ve described.
But I don’t know the exact reason.
p.s.:
Theres a sticky thread in the level designers forum with some link to resources:
TUTORIALS AND ET MAPPING RESOURCES

because if you don’t make a perfect square map AT LEAST 64 units bigger than the bigger box of your map, it doesn’t work. Tried on my skin
Bye,

Sounds like it could be the known problem of too many pk3s. Delete any server campaign file pk3s in etmain. When there are too many of these in etmain, the problem you are describing happens. Be careful not to delete any of the original pk3s that came with the game though:
(astro-skies.pk3?)
common.pk3
lights.pk3
mapmedia.pk3
mp_bin.pk3
pak0.pk3
pak1.pk3
Make sure you don’t delete these pk3s.
the astro-skies.pk3 has about 20 sky textures that dont work, so if u want you can delete that too, there are only 3 working skies that come with ET :bash:
best idea is to have 2 installs, 1 u use for playing and 1 for mapping, it helps sort official textures from custom textures and this wont happen
i had the same problem if you have done everything and then it stil stays on 0 try hosting first local and when your in a standard map like feuldump and then go console devmap boxmap
