That’s…actually a good point…am I going to have to reprogram my hud? D:
Since they explicitly say Front end, it should not affect the ingame hud at all.
The in-game hud is done through CoherentUI and would probably get swapped too. I’d wager they have porting tools going from one to the other as it would be pretty weird to not do it all at one time.
IIRC they were using 2 different tools for the front end and the ingame UI. Hence why you had such gems like not option to bind Vsays in the FE or no crosshair color ingame.
Yup. The out of game bind screen is done with a different tool and the in-game was done with CoherentUI. I think (not 100% certain) they are finally going to condense all of that and change over entirely to CoherentGT which should not only unify everything and give a consistent UI experience but also hopefully help with latency/frame drop issues that can plague Coherent UI setups that I read about a week or two ago.
This might also fix peripheral issues like ghost binds or binds switching from one bind to another randomly during gameplay (as if two config files are constantly being called on and loaded during particular in-game events) and issues like shooterinput.ini in the user directory not being written to. Which would be nice.
