Any chance we could get the hit beep audio a separate slider in volume settings? So I can make them as loud or as quiet as I want?

And how long till the other weapons get their audio revamped?

Can we please get the audio announcer to cancel whatever it is he’s saying if a more recent/important update on the objective has occurred?

Who writes taunts and dialogue for the mercs?

The new sound of the Dreiss AR, it’s too loud for me, seems louder than any other weapon.
Why was it changed?

Why do I sometimes hear a really loud Proxy scream when a Proxy is killed somewhere not even close to me? :slight_smile:

What audio changes/additions are planned for the future?

Yeah, the announcers are annoying, specially on intros (1st you have to repair ev…), Can we get an option to mute them?. Currently there is an option (Dialogues), but mutes mercenaries’ voices also.

Can we go back to previous BR-16 and MK46 Light Machine Gun sounds?
The current sounds makes them feel like a toy gun, it’s not consistent with the weapon.

Those sounds remove the inspiration I need to spread happiness among the enemy :stuck_out_tongue:

Will enemy footsteps ever be more consistent? Cant hear people running around behind me half the time and it is quite annoying, could do with some beefing up.

Also any plans to add in more taunts? I feel some mercs voiceover’s have not been completely finished yet.

Also I have started to notice I am unlocking Special Taunt 6 and 7 on some mercs after playing them for a while in the same game, but goes back to locked in the next match? Is this intended or just a bug?

The DE.50 sounds like it is a silenced pistol but i think it should be more explosive. Something like a portable cannon, because hey, it is a caliber .50

  1. Why is self generated sound when turning around so delayed ? (when i hear my character turning after i already turned around 1 second ago).

  2. Why is hit feedback so loud when you are getting hit ? Why cant it be quiter so i can actually hear from where i am getting hit ?

  3. Why is directional audio so bad ?

  4. Why does airstrikes muffle every other sound while not providing any useful information aside from the fact that there is an airstrike somewhere on the map ?

  5. Why are footsteps so quiet and inconsistent most of the time ?

  6. Why is my team louder than enemy team ?

And so on, in short, why is sound so bad in db ;(.

I though that the walk function would cancel the sound your footsteps would make but when I hold the walk button I still hear my footsteps. Was that intended?

@SereneFlight I think that is related to their position with respect to you: nearby mercs are heard normally, those far away sound like they are speaking over a radio, which sort of make sense. In Execution for instance, the pre-round taunts from your own team should be in clear, those from the other team are “radioey”.

One of my audio peeves are the announcers phrases that sound like they have been patched together, like “Don’t let them… Plant C4 on the objective”. Sounds like they tried to recycle the attack sound bit for defense by tacking on the “Don’t let them” in front :frowning:

Ugh… please don’t let me come this place when I’m at night ever again… it makes me asking stupid questions : P
Oh well… anyboo, I kinda wished it wasn’t that way since it makes me want to stab my ears X.x
