Desert Railgun

I wanna Change the Original Snowy Railgun to a Desert Railgun, without the Snow, i also will change all the textures, do i have to modify the MAP using GTKradient to achieve this, or do i just change the scripts

I now have a compilable Rail gun.

Here is a Quick Change i did

Here is what i want to do

Turn off Snow
Change the Sky
Change All Snow Textures to Desert Textures
Turn the Ice into Water
Maybe Add some new Areas
Fix Bugs that where Present from Original
Get Rid of the Fog (not completely, maybe a Slight Sandstorm Effect)

Some Questions

How to i point the Shader to the Map.

The Map is named “Railgun_desert”

does that mean the shader file should be name “Railgun_desert.shader” (which is a copy of the original railgun shader)

Using the Shader file i can turn of Snow and fog from there right !

If you’re changing the whole look of the map you will have to do some actual texture alignement work at some point. Just pick those stretched textures and put them ‘axial’ (or ‘natural’, not sure) and maybe fit them depending on the case.

I assume fog and snow comes from the sky shader used - iirc sky shaders usually are stored in a separate common skies shaders file. Change the sky shader in your map to something else - like the oasis one, this should work.

Also please make the map gameplay better while you’re at it ! ; )
