Desert Eagle on proxy

In an actual game, compare trying to use ONLY a pistol to ONLY a machine pistol.

The Deagle on Proxy is good if you have the Shotgun as a primary.
The reason is simple.
Shotgun for Close combat, Deagle for Ranged Combat
SMG for Ranged/Close combat, Machine Pistol when you run out of ammo. :v

Being able to maybe finish one person with a mag on a deagle versus potentially killing 3 people with the mp400 when you switch to it is pretty huge. People keep citing DPS without considering ammo count/mag kill potential which is one of the most important factors in considering any gun.

That’s why I said potentially. But you can easily kill two of the average HP mercs with one magazine and sometimes you can get a third. That’s simply not possible with a Deagle or most pistols in general due to a lower ammo count unless they happen to all be super low HP at the time.

the only real good proxy card (subjective opinion) is the hoch/mp400 with tryhard and doubletime. also pineapple but when the fuck has anyone used that in practice

unfortunately the S&W dps is also 125. Because the 2 extra damage does not help against any other merc exept Thunder. Meaning that you still have to shoot everyone els same amouth of shots as simeon.

Even the Dreissar does not have better dps. It also has 125 dps because the 1 extra damage does not lower the amouth of shots you need to take out the mercs.
And the 125 dps is on paper with semi-auto weapons, it can be even lower as people cant click as fast, not to mention the delay between clicks. [/quote]

You’re confusing DPS with TTK. DPS is how much damage you can do, statistically, in a second. TTK is how quickly you can kill a target. And yes, S&W and the Simeon have about the same TTK, but they’re great at finishing off weaken targets.

was using the deagle on proxy today… gotta say, not bad at all. Was able to down a phoenix at medium range no issues. It definitely is lacking in certain areas for prox, but it has its uses

The uses it has are very limited considering what other options player has.

The heavy pistols would be useful if they did more damage. Like Simeon and S&W being able to same amouth of damage as the semiauto snipers (with slower fire rate and lower range)

While the normal pistols like Caugen, M9 and Sebstard would have noticeably longer mags.

I enjoy the DE.50, for finish off enemies, but seems like some people prefer to change the DE.50 for the MP400, and great perks for pretty much double time

Remburg + tolem + stilnotto with double time, looter, and flying pig is my favorite loadout

It’s an alright pistol. But for some reason I feel the urge to spam it in this game, despite my roots screaming bloody murder at me for spamming the deag and not getting the wonderful juan deag!

Basically it doesn’t feel powerful enough to not-spam as a last moment thought to finish someone off after your primary ran out of ammo. It also has the most piss-weak firing sound I’ve ever heard. Maybe it’s just my CS roots- But I’d like to see the Deagle be what it is. A slow cumbersome pistol that has a whole LOT of bang.
