demo to ---> youtube??

(ACROBAT) #1

I downloaded a demo recorder and made a demo I want on youtube or something similar to you tube that allows pirated sound.

I can I make the demo into a video file and then that into a youtube video. Also I can I add sound and an introduction etc?

(Nail) #2

yes, you can

ET does not provide a way to record your demo to a video file; you need a third party program (such as FRAPS) to do that for you. You can play back your demo in ET, and have FRAPS run in the background while it records whatever it sees on your screen. This way, you are in essence recording your demo to a video file.

Here we go.

This isn’t so bad I think.

next time up the fps a bit (it was a bit laggy) and cut off the end of the song lol
Quake 3?

(ACROBAT) #6

that was jedi knight outcast, but ya it’s a quake 3 engine.

(Pande) #7

or make the demo, then record it later while you rewatch it in the engine.

Pande,

that rotating image is a php file? I’ve never heard of those?

(Nail) #9

it’s a 16 frame animated gif

For better fps and quality just make cl_avidemo 30 or whatever fps you want to have, import those pictures into vitrual dub, set fps to 30 in this case and make avi.

Nice
But i would record the demofile (/record filename) and then use Quake Video Maker (it won’t record sound but did not use it i see).
I made 3 videos and am working on my fourth video. First 3 videos i also used FRAPS but somehow my FPS goes down pretty much.
With Quake Video Maker you can convert the recorded TGA files into a nice AVi

http://www.swift-tools.net/Quake/QVM/ < here you can download it.

Just incase you make another movie and wan’t more FPS.
