Hello, I’ve got different type of problem, but it’s still about demos so I write it here.
As everyone knows, when we use cvar “cutNetDemo”, the new demo is sometimes gliched. What’s the point? I’ve already cut all the demos, many are gliched and now I’ve changed my mind… I would like to record demos using fraps… Is there any chance to make those gliches disappear?
Demo Replay Error?
You could do what i’ve done in all mine (although it does take a while to do). Just play the normal demo (e.g. 20110820_222041_salvage_ETQWPro10_stopwatch_first_Dthwsh) and wait for the moment you want to record to come. A few seconds before it happens start recording with fraps then finish recording a few seconds after it’s happened. Takes awhile and you do need a comp which can handle it, but you don’t (at least i haven’t) seem to get any glitches.
The “demoscale” comand can be set to greater than 1 to make demo replay fast, so you can reach the desired record point faster. Would be good to bind a key to increase demoscale and another to decrease demoscale, so you can change speed with just some key touchs.
Without the bind you can loose the record point wile typing “demoscale 1” on the console.
Also, new Fraps have a record cache of 30 seconds or any amount of time you want. This means it record all the time and you can flux this cache to your HD anytime.

Cut demos do tend to play correctly when using renderNetDemo but normal playback is still a problem for capturing sound as positional audio will be all wrong.
As an alternative you can use the writeJumpStartDemo command instead to save the playback position in a demo and restart it from that time using playJumpStartDemo.
Example:
playNetDemo mydemo
[...]
writeJumpStartDemo save1
[then later]
playJumpStartDemo save1

When you play the sliced demo’s sometimes the crosshair won’t move, but when you render the images the movements are allright.
None of the solutions above works, still need help with this error:
ERROR: idGameLocal::ReadClientNetworkInfo Missing Entity For Snapshot State.
Is it possible to repair See the file below it’s recorded in etqwpro:
On start of the map albi lost connection, then osshy paused the game, and parigo restarted the map <- the only thing I can think of that messed up the demo?
I didn’t quit and was on server till the server reboot the map automaticly because… we also need to play as Strogg
In the demo folder, do you have a .ucmd file of the same name? (e.g. blahhblahhblahhhblahh.ndm and blahhblahhblahhhblahh.ucmd)? Only thing I can think of is that the restart caused the error, but we need TimeStar to find out!
I have a ucmd file for some demo’s but not this one.
The program demofix.exe from timeStart was to fix other errors?
