Dedicated Server Tweak-O-Rama

I have my own ideas about how fast heavy should run, the damage radius for projectiles and the magazine capacity on a drum fed automatic. Does anyone know where these configs are located to run a custom dedicated server. If theres a way to disable that horrible camera pivot when revivng id be up for that to. Importing custom face paints. If you know whete the cfg files are to tweak these sorts of things please post here.

I so hope this isn’t and won’t ever be possible. I want to play Brink when I join a server, not Brink-a-la-Dolo_420. Stuff like that should be left for mods.

I have to say, I agree with Smokeskin.
And why is he stupid because he said that? I also wouldn’t want to have to search for hours to find a “normal” server.

I was trying to keep my responce short. But i can explain. I’ve run dedicated servers, im also a modder / level desighner sound pack editor skinner. We havent been able to get an sdk to start so i figured at least a server cfg would be good. Every server you play has small changes already to optimise lag reduction most common setting is max rate, max players. There will always be an abundance of " vanilla " servers but the right sort of custom server tweeks can make things alot more fun. Custom servers are also used to disperse new user created content. Last time i ran a server was in sof2 and we had the most popular server on the planet for 2 years before we moved onto quake wars. I agree some custom servers with odd gravity settings and super speed can suck but there will always be vanilla servers and i think its stupid that someone would post against the idea of customization. If you dont like it just dont play on it. No reason to post something obnoxious about how you hope it stays vanilla forever that just closed minded and " stupid “. I think any veteren gamers is familiar with reading server titles like " fast, vanilla , xp saver. The best server settings take time comparison and repeated tweeking by admins like me, without that there is no diversity just a bunch of angry " play only, contribute nothing " flamers who expect splash damage to fix everything. To say you would have to search for hours to find a” normal " server is just idiotic because most servers run default even when the options are available.

Then avoid “custom” game settings.
