decompiling? not an IBSP file?

Ok when I try to decompile q3map2 says after running alittle
error: /path blah blah blah /yavin_trail.bsp is not an IBSP file-
whats that mean?

this is what I got in the bat file:

"q3map2.exe" -v -convert -format map -fs_basepath "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/gamedata" "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\maps\yavin_trial.bsp"

what am I doing wrong?

please if you give advice please keep It simple- I just got this program and I am not that familiar with it-

Try:


"q3map2.exe" -v -convert -format map -game jka -fs_basepath "C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData" "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\maps\yavin_trial.bsp"

The q3map2 args have to use forward slashes, while the map directive can be in the Windows format. I think “jka” is right for Jedi Academy, but I’ve not used it.

it think it’s just “ja” for jedi academy
