Hi I use to read this forum, but this is the first time I post here. I have tho questions (atm xD):
1- How are jump-maps made? Decompiling (.bps---->.map)??? How can I decompile a .bsp???
2- Is there any irc-channel with mappers???

For decompile, you might try the SEARCH-button of this forum, i remember at least 2 threads about that very topic…

Yup I was one of the people who started a thread, probably the best explanation on that thread of how to decompile a .bsp to a .map on the forum. I didnt find a better explanation in my searches anyway.

No, it shouldn’t! Anyone who can use the damn search function of PHPBB2 will find this thread if he actually tries to use it!
Start with the mapping tutorials for Q3 out in the web, if you havn’t mapped for a game before - dont decompile others maps and use stuff from it. Ive recently played “Axislab” or whatever called and it was full of ripped brushwork and RtCW textures. Shame over the mapper! [/rant]
