Dear Splash Damage

Yesterday for the first time ever I managed to play several games with at least 7 people on each side. It was nonstop insanity and the most fun I’ve had in a multiplayer game for a long time. I was even able to temporarily look past the occasional lag spikes and how ugly the game looks on my 360 to see the game I had been hoping to play for the past year and a half.

Today was all bots and the occasional other player, and all it reminded me of was all the problems Brink has. Please fix your game so that I can get back to the fun part.

Do you console players not get a server browser?

(kronus126) #3

(Zekariah) #4

I´m a pc player but i feel bad for console players i mean i hate when map changes and you get like 5 bots joining, but in xbox looks like almost all games are filled with bots 24/7 wich sux hard, whats the point playng online to play vs bots, imo makes no sense at all.

(crackedgear) #7

Friday nights in your zone seems to get crowded.

fiday monday wednsday are peak days/ isnt it like two o’clock there?

(Artvarg) #10

there was this long-way-work-around for the low-res textures someone posted here or on the bethesda forum. it really worked for me, but you have to keep the game in the menu for an hour or so, and that really sucks. it looked almost like in the pre-release vids afterwards.

(wolfnemesis75) #11

the game doesn’t look ugly. that’s your opinion, bro. it looks as advertised to me.

(Crytiqal) #12

lol wolfnemesis, it does not.

Take a look at container city videos and how it currently looks.
Does not look the same, fact.

(GLUGLUG) #13

you are correct, it’s not the same, there’s no HUD at all, and the lighting is different.
Totally different game

6 pages of my opinion: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25808

Have to admit that even though I play this on the PC, I feel for you xBox guys. I saw some videos on youtube and my god does it look awful on the 360. It almost reminded me of those early quake game graphics. Ouchies and p2p too?

On the PC the graphics are close to what the teaser videos where like. At least for me anyway

(its al bout security) #16

hahahha those first videos you ever see are alwayse computer boosted to make them look soo much more colorfull add effects that art in game. they are almost like a cinematic theater.

really though watch MW3 ittll look exactly the opposite of the trailers, probably like MW2

(crackedgear) #17

Think I tried the wait an hour thing a few weeks ago. Nothing definite, but I was able to convince myself that it did seem to help with the texture pop in.

(bastuden) #18

IS this true, sorry I am a bit of a noob, are you messing with us or is this by any means true?

yeah, it is common knowledge that these are special builds.

…more overly harsh criticism from a faceless profiler.
