Deadline ?

I mean we can change basically anything if we feel it’s beneficial enough.

Yes the main focus will be on new content (maps, characters) and systems* (user friendly demo playback, advanced player stats) but we will almost certainly be iterating upon the mechanics and feel of moving and shooting since that’s the most important part of the game.

There’s definitely a lot more to see for both moving and shooting before we go public, but even after we do there’s always going to be a place for feedback and potential improvements.

* These are just some potential examples off the top of my head
The main thing to bear in mind is that unlike every other game we’ve made, core development definitely doesn’t stop on release/open beta.

Previously we were limited to patches and DLC but this time there’s going to be constant iteration and new content for as long as the game is viable.

This is due to the business model being much more long-term with the game being F2P and all.
Ok, first thing on the list should be to NOT let everyone download the game over and over again every time a update is there…
Now we have to download 3gigs for every update… I mean… It seems just impossible that that are only the updated files…
So create a better system for that, that just overwrites the files that are updated.

This is already in the works

EDIT: We do already only overwrite the updated files, it’s just that many of them are bundles together and aren’t very ‘stable’ when generated between builds. I believe we’re splitting them up into smaller chunks and modifying our compression methods to keep things more ‘samey’ between versions.

Ah ok great to hear! And thanks for you explanation.
I hope great things will happen for Extraction soon - because I really love the game - and it is a pitty that nobody is playing it.

Free2Patch j/k
it sounds exciting actually the ongoing development!

I really hope that the accent after the release will be on more new maps. Else all of this creative suffering is pretty much pointless on the long run

This new update I hope will be awesome because for the first time I have no interest to play… So much other stuff to do!

Something like this can be really appreciated
