Just wanted to bring this topic back to the forefront if possible… I haven’t seen it discussed much lately. In-game voice chat seems to be luck of the draw in that some people get quite clear audio, but most people can’t be heard at all; it’s a significant issue in playing with random people and trying to coordinate a game.

Some players suffer from having a quiet mic.

All you have to do is go to Start>Control Panel>Hard Ware and Sound>Manage Audio Devices>Recording (Tab)> Click on Microphone>Properties> Levels (Tab), and raise both volumes to the max. This will give your mic a significant boost.
