With 2015 drawing a close, what better way to show our anticipation of Dirty Bomb in 2016, than a community contest?

#DB2016 is a video contest for you, the community, to let your imaginations, hopes and aspirations run wild. Come and share with the community what you would like to see from Dirty Bomb within 2016 - whether it is mercs, maps, fixes, core features, events… anything! We would all love to hear your suggestions and ideas.

A grand prize of $50 (50 US Dollars) is up for grabs, for the winner of first-place. For other prize details, please see below!

Submission rules:

[li] ALL entrants MUST contain #DB2016 in the video title.[/li][li] All entries MUST be submitted via ONE of the following – the official subreddit, Nexon Forums or Splash Damage forums post. (Please DO NOT post to all 3. Every post will be checked and accounted for.)[/li][li] Only ONE submission per user.[/li][li] Entry must be no shorter than 4 minutes, and no longer than 10 minutes.[/li][li] You must upload your video to YouTube, and submit a YouTube URL.[/li][li] Excessive profanity is not permitted.[/ul][/li]Failure to comply with these rules will lead to disqualification from the contest and possible blacklisting in future community managed contests.

Contest running period:
Contest submission deadline is the 14/01/16 (14th January 2016), 18:00 UTC. Any submissions after the closing date and time may NOT be entered into the judge’s final count.

Contest judging:
The contest will be judged after the contest closing date by a panel of judges. The following factors will be taken heavily into consideration:

Prize:
Currently there is a one (1) grand prize of $50 for the overall winner. This prize will be gifted via Paypal, so all entrants MUST have a valid/usable Paypal account to receive their winnings, should they win first place.

We are also working on securing some runner up and/or addition prizes, however this is very much dependent on contest entries. We can NOT guarantee additional or runner up prizes at this stage, however we will keep you posted should these be secured for other entrants.

Additional notes:
You can choose any video format you like for the contest, so long as you stick to the video topic of #DB2016 (Dirty Bomb in 2016).

One key aspect of this contest though, is to keep your video constructive. You can choose any format you like, that’s entirely up to you, however submissions using “just because” as their justification aren’t going to do very well!

THIS IS A COMMUNITY MANAGED CONTEST AND IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH SPLASH DAMAGE OR NEXON IN ANY WAY. IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC ISSUES, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE CONTEST ORGANISERS, PIXELTWITCH OR FARALETH.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HOLD FINAL JUDGEMENT ON DISQUALIFIATIONS; THIS WILL BE DOWN TO THE JUDGE’S DISCRETION. WE ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO THE CONTEST END DATE.

It’s not really on topic for the thread but a point Pixel brings up in his video regarding un-synced spawn times in Objective I think they have a really good reason for that which is that they are adjusting the spawn times in an attempt to balance the maps.

For stop-watch, the maps don’t need to be balanced, in fact, you want a strong offensive bias, so they get the spawn times set up and synced for an offensive bias.

Now, they can’t be the same for objective mode, you want defenders to win 50% of the time if possible, and the best way to do that and not change the maps is to adjust the spawn times, making the defenders spawn in faster or the attackers spawn in slower.
