DB Swag
but i realy doubt, that we will find anyone who is happy with current state of DB
i mean not much of a contradictory here =)
I’m generally happy, game has a long way to go; but I can see where the fun is. Perhaps I didn’t play long enough to get totally bored with the maps yet.

Core gameplay is fine, hit registration is nice; ttk is good, there is a variety of mercs and movements.

But before it can make any impact; proper matchmaking, performance issues (game runs really smooth when not lagging; but even a small amount of internet problems will kill your experience COMPLETELY; netcode is somehow really fragile), maps - maps - maps; and some balancing stuff have to be addressed first.

I do see the F2P format as the game’s saving grace, if its fun to play - people will come to play it.

Anyone will come to a f2p title. It’s retaining them that I can’t see happening with how atrocious the maps are.

Even on small repetitive maps, new players will need at least a month before getting bored: assuming some of the glaring mistakes here and there are fixed (single chokepoint for the entire map, ludicrous objectives - im looking at you: underground 1st phase!, etc.).

Hopefully, community made-maps will be heavily supported, once the machine gets rolling, the fans can keep the game being interested.

Can anyone confirm if any of Nexon’s games currently currently do this?

Yes I can. No.

And community maps suddenly saving the game is just a pie in the sky.

One of the many problems but a major one none the less. I can still hop onto ice, base, or sub and have a blast for hours. Here? 2-3 map rotations.
