How come DB has such terrible performance issues compared to Blacklight Retribution or Toxikk? Map sizes are more or less comparable (Toxxik’s Twin Peaks feels like it’s a lot larger than any of DB or BLR maps, and it still runs smoothly). Graphics aren’t that far apart as well, especially on lower settings. Max number of players per server is equal. Toxikk is also in testing phase and BLR always had tons of performance issue, but nowhere near DB’s level. Hitreg in Toxikk feels comparable to DB’s, so it doesn’t seem like forcing good hitreg causes those problems. Dirty Bomb is the first UE3 game where I had to tinker with config to bring graphics below low setting in game’s menu in order to get completely smooth framerate.
Obviously I’m not asking for detailed technical explanation, but I’d like to hear your thoughts about this and possibly a comment from somebody in the know about whether to expect further increase in performance or will we be stuck with what we have now.

… The only thing I do expect is that nexon will allow people to rent high tickrate servers, which can improve the feeling strongly.
