Ok so, just on aesthetics, I never liked the Aura character. Ugly looking, ugly shotgun, and a healing station (RTCW veteran= dropped medic packs are love).
But I decided to try her out today and do some experiments:

can she play tank aggressive? Well she cant run down the street against 3 people in prime position, no. But if you lure them into anything with ONE WALL, you can drop your healing station and survive easily 3-4 attackers at once, usually having to pull out your side arm to finish the encounter. I did this several times with no failures. If it got too hairy, I simply insta-picked up my healing station and dropped it after falling back to another corner or a wall.

I was able to run up to the enemy, insta-drop my healing station and survive any mid-mid long range encounter with even fraggers simply by hitting them and outlasting them using healing station then pickup instantly and run to next encounter.

defensive nonsense: yah well, assuming a decent team- the success/defense rate goes up almost exponentially in places like that nice building in Trainyard. Its a joke of a buff. Esp. if you have a juicy loadout card.
I still do not like the character, but in terms of play- she can be made in certain ways tremendously more effective than sawbonez- who is starting to look like an all around sneaker.
Worst case scenario as a one man army? small building with ammo cache inside & Aura.
