Dark Mode: Night Vision

Here’s an idea I had for a new mode. Same maps we have currently,
only the mode changes the default contrast/saturation monitor
settings.

The maps could have some lit areas, but just be the contrast
turned way up so that its difficult to see in the shadows.
Basically, you have to do the same objectives, only its possible to
trigger alarms in areas that warn the enemy(Turrets, mines, CPs etc).
You can approach and sneak attack more effectively.
And use silence as more part of the game.
Silencers, Silent footsteps, etc.

Tactical scanner would become more valuable.
I included a few pics to illustrate what I mean.

[li]The Radar becomes more of a factor in your overall survival.[/li][/ul]

[li]And Operatives reign supreme.[/li][/ul]

[li]Swat team techniques would be paramount to survival.[/li][/ul]

[li]And in this mode death could hold a higher penalty.[/li][/ul]

  • [li]At each objective you have but one life unless you are the objective class. [/li]No respawning!

[ul]
[li]DMG for all guns could be set lower save for pistols and rifles. :)[/li][/ul]

i would like to see some maps done at night, I wouldn’t even mind if they were what if maps done with different objectives on the same maps at night. but also some new ones would be great.

I think your idea of silencers and stuff is cool but a little clunky for the flow of the game, although part of that issue could be solves (as well as a few others) by allowing us to use the customization menu from a command post!

Yeah. Same maps. They just load with the default settings made so its hard to see characters in the shadows. It could work I feel. Night time maps are cool. But, more unique modes would be cool as well currently without resorting to done to death modes like TDM. And I get what you’re saying about the clunky part, not having the right attachments equipped. A work around would be having a Mode Specific character build or swap out attachments before you play this mode. But that would certainly make it a bit clunky. Good point. :slight_smile:

I would like to see some new objectives in the (hopefully) comming DLC’s, I’m not sure what they could do but I bet they’ll think of something. it would be neat to see maybe an engi main objective to weld yourselves into an area that youre taking over or something just a bit different like that. maybe on for the medic something more like a scientific objective for supplies or even a mission for The Hope although I think that ship is in CC it shows it at the end but the writing is funky and I’m not sure if I’m seeing what I want to see or if it really says HOPE.
