Currently, daily play rewards become available 24 hours after the last claimed reward. This isn’t that bad, except that it slowly pushes the time allowed for you to get your reward forward every day, and often makes it so that it cannot be claimed.
If the time had a locked reset time, it would help people who have a strict schedule and limited time to play. If the reward resets at, say, 12:00 A.M. UTC. If you are anywhere in the world, and you only have 20 minutes to play every day at 6:30-50 local time, you will always be able to get your reward then.
However, if it reset 24 hours after you last collected, you would have 5 minutes to play, which is not enough time to finish most matches. (Yes, you could, but then you’d have even less time the next day.)
Thank you for reading this, it’s been bothering me for awhile.
If you seriously want the devs to change the system (and I largely agree with you now and later in the thread when the subject is changed, that the daily reward system should feature a progressive credit reward each day,) it is recommended to not conjure up a false state of affairs, on which you base your argument. The way you describe the daily play system is not exactly how it works.
The reset time is set and started when you first are discovered online when eligible for a new week of daily rewards. It then stays at that time for the rest of that daily reward period, and your period starts, whether you claim your first reward or not. The daily reset is not dependent on when you complete your daily play (but the weekly reset can appear as if, see below.)
For example, if you want your daily rewards to reset at midnight, you log in at midnight, and it stays at midnight for the remainder of the period.
So in fact, the problematic case that you present, is a non-issue in an on-going period, because it simply does not happen in the context you describe! (It does not happen in the way or with the frequency you describe it, see below.) And the devs know this, thus they are not responding to complaints like this.
But a similar issue might arise when you actively transition from the last day in one week to the next, as the next weekly timer is started right after you claim your reward (what ever that may be) on the final day (day seven,) since you are discovered online and eligible (at least that is how I remember it happening last time I claimed a last day reward of the week, which has been a while.) One way this could be prevented by the devs, the worse one, is by letting the reset timer run its course after the player has claimed the last reward, or have a set global reset timer. That would mean less net credits for players on a weekly basis. Of course you can just argue that players should be compensated for that loss, if the system is changed. A better way for it to be solved, would be to have the players actively initiate the reward week themselves, by something else than their mere presence, for example by playing a game or pushing a ‘start my week’ button.
