CVAR unlock requests

this is supposed a thread about requests by the community for unlocking specific cvars…

these cvars define the color and the alpha values for all the interaction symbols (command posts, incapacited players, disguise symbols, scavange symbols…)

g_interactionforecolor
g_interactionbackcolor
g_interactionselectedfore
g_interactionselectedback

i dont know what this value does exactly, but it also has something to do with the interaction.

g_interactionupdate

this one is for the white, blue, yellow and red outlines around players and objectives that also are very distracting sometimes.

r_skiphalorendering

do something good for the weekend and unlock those with a hotfix. it would be really appreciated.

it’s become really boring to wait for some stuff we normaly have !!
so many cvars are locked, and we dont have even a custom crosshair or waypoint size nd alpha etc …

it’s just boring to wait wait wait … we wait for year and still nothing …

and maybe some others that I dont know !
All the one who are needed by players to customise game interface as they want to be

We ask them since weeks before release … So I think they know the ones we need !

also, do you know what the cvars do that you posted? this thread is for requests. if you dont even know what the cvars do you posted, why do you even post them?

most of them are already unlocked btw.

how did you know what cvars are in the game to request them even before release?

youre not making any sense dude.

maybe for the future be a bit more polite and constructive. if not you wont have many people here who respect your statements. but maybe its already too late for this?!

Yes I know the cvar I post, mister ! thx a lot to be so attentive …

lot of cvar are not working … HUD cvars / crosshair cvar / waypoints cvars / iconsize cvars etc …
and so many players wait for them !
So please test it before speaking ! thx

And we ask for cvar before release cause lot of cvars are same in ETQW and we use it since 3 years,
and at least there is some cvar close to wolf also !
and we already know what we need before game release …

I know I asked for timescale in devmap, but would it be possible to have all cvars unlocked in devmap? I thought that was the point of it :slight_smile:

Mmmm partially kidding actually, as there isnt any ranked server, why dont you guyz (SD) just unlock everything and let the players/ serveradmin to choose what they prefer? Just curious, nu pun intended.

Cvars that give a huge fps boost…

g_preloaddata (more stable fps if its enabled :smiley: )
r_skipPostProcess (PLZZZZ I get double amount of fps with it at 1)

r_skipparticles (Maybe certain particles??)
s_shakeScale (OMG u dont how annoying is when my screens shaking!!)

Also an option to change sensitivity when using sniper scope…feels really slow.

and add a fps_max cmd…(v-sync gives input lag)

im far more familiar with the unreal engine, so not reall a cvar guy. BUT i would like to be able to reduce the size of icons and names in game. IMO they take up far more room than they need to. alphas on the icons might be nice too.

right now you can already change the color and alpha values for the text and icon above friendly players and the dots on the minimap for all players:

seta g_enemyColor2 “1 0 0 0.5”
seta g_friendlyColor “1 1 1 0.5”

first 3 values are R G B, last is alpha.

I dont think so ! that’s cheat if others dont use it
they have to tighten the spread for everyone
