Im not sure why this isnt working…i got it to work but i had to extract the entire pak0.pk3 and delete it for these chats to work…anybody have any idea what the problem is?
I took an existing custom sound pak…added the sound file…added the codes to the wm_quickmessageAlt.menu , wm_allies_chat.voice , wm_axis_chat.voice…rezipped it to a pk3…loaded up the game and its not even in the vsay menu to select…but it is when i delete the pak0.pk3 file…wtf :disgust:
you are able to start et after deleting pak0.pk3? wow… that’s… er… interesting
it seems something really f*cked up with your et installation… did you copy the pak0.pk3 somewhere else? remove all custom pk3s or restart with a clean and fresh et install
if you extract the entire pak0.pk3 then theres realy no need for it…all the files are still there but its not in a neat little package…and i tried it on a fresh clean install…no luck unless i delete the pak0 file…i dont get it :bored:

nevermind i figured out what the problme was…the name of the new sound pak has to come after the official ones in search order…
i was usin “a_sounds.pk3” (didnt work)
changed to “z_sounds.pk3” (works perfect)
dam i feel stupid
Note that you won’t be able to play on pure servers if you delete or change one of the official .pk3 files.
ive had a custom vsay soundpack…and ive deleted it and its still loadin up in game? why is this…ive searched my whole computer and that soundpack file is nowhere to be found…wtf
either you have overwritten some of the original files or the custom .menu, .voice etc files are still lying around somewhere… try to start et with sv_pure 1… i hope you didnt delete pak0.pk3 once again 
lol i only deleted the pak0 in 1 of many installs of ET for modding purposes…oh and i figured out why my vsays wasnt werkin…i feel like a tard now…ive recently installd a 2nd harddrive in my computer and i was putin my sound pak in my c drive install and my shortcut i was usin to load up the game was still targeted to my old installation on my old harddrive lol
