Custom Spawn flags.

Hi all.

I hope that I’m posting this in the right thread.

I have been searching for a instructions for changing the spawn flags but not found. I believe that this is popular since every clan wants to have its own flag.

There is going to be a clan fight on my server soon so I was wandering how to change the spawn flags. Does anyone know of some instructions regarding that issue?

plz no not another clan skinpack

it would be ok if they looked good but the majority are just cheap and ruin the visuals of the game

if you want to change the flag skins make a pk3 in etmail beigning with zzz.pk3 this will overwrite the existing pk3’s

then find the directory and images of the current flags, copy them to the new pk3. then edit them when you run your game the new pk3 flag images will overwrite the old ones and voila new flags… just make a good job of it

if you trying to do this map specific flags you will need to use a remap shader though

Well I understand that there is a lot of cheap mods out there and a lot of maps that are, well lets say not that good.

The thing is that we are friends from two countries fighting each other, so I would like to have the flag of each nation as a spawning flag. I would only like to use this twice a year.

If you how ever believe that this will require a work from someone with experience of map making then I will respect that.

P.s. This will not be a public server where you will load down the clan flag just for the clan admin to show off, the server will be locked while we use these flags, which is the second thing I was going to ask.

Making a skin pack requires no skill, All you have to do is find the texture you want to replace. Heres a .pk3 with the flag textures in it. Just replace them with what you want to use, making sure the have the same name and extention. Click Here

please don’t make the modpack like that…I hate half-***-mods that overwrite my default files…and alot of other people do as well.

Follow this >
-make the textures and/or shaders…make the directory.
-use remap in the scripting > …Follow this if you can…or use it if you want.

This is from my old server and this changes:
-the default skies of 3 maps
-the spawn flags from map to map
-the landmine flags from map to map…I think I have a different landmine flags for each team for ALL default 6 maps.
-on one map, the allies team is all black and the axis team is all white…(railgun)

Creating a mod like this means that the clients’ files only change when on that specific server containing the same file(PK3).
This is done by adding the remap option to the script file and then creating a .pk3 with the new assets and script. Then have the .pk3’s name begin after ‘Q’.
