MULTI-VOTE POLL (more than one can be checked)
Another one of these polls as the game has taken another significant leap in the way weapons function since the rifles became much more accurate via creep spread reduction a few patches ago. Vote or post your thoughts or both, just would like to get an idea of where people stand now.
Current weapon mechanics poll
I think headshot damage across the board needs to be raised to 40 - 45 and that’s about it. Chest shooting medics will still have a hard time but people who aim for the face will perform better and more efficiently.
Head shot damage has a 2x multiplier I believe. I wouldn’t mind seeing it raised to at least 2.25x-2.5x, especially if we can get a little more reduction on the creep spread. I think that damage should vary across weapons still, but the multiplier will still result in similar amounts of head shots to a kill- if a player does hit the head with all their bullets of course. I find FOPS and soldier in iron-sight to be the most dependable for consecutive head shots currently, but I’d like head shot kills to be much more consistently achievable across the board if possible.
I can’t give my opinion about the guns fairly because the strafing feels so damn weird. It totally ruins any hope of having confidence in my aim. I can’t tell if my aim is off because of the wonky strafe acceleration or if the gun doesn’t feel accurate.
fops2 rifle - leave as is
medic rifle - right now the medic has to be real picky when to engage. It needs a boost imho.
sniper mp - leave as is
sniper rifle - I would go back to how it was in the first build.
soldier2 mg - leave as is, although i dont know whether they have made any recent changes to it.
engie - dont play it /cough
In general i voted Lower RoF, Lower Creep, Higher Damage here (not excessive amounts for each just a small tweak) - obviously it should be done according to each weapon, but generally i think 3 headshots should = kill
And yes +1 for BMXer’s point about movement.

i voted for “reduce rate of fire” and “reduce spread”
rate of fire is way to high i think, just reduce it a little bit,
spread is nice since last patch but if you would reduce it even a little bit more it would be perfect!
Increase creep spread but increase spread recovery even more resulting in an overall lower spread with higher rewards for burst firing.
On average of course, after that you can start tweaking guns to have more or less punishment for spraying.
Damage is fine.
Oh and higher damage fall-off over distane. Long-range fights are way too random at the moment.
It’s all about the time to kill so tough poll. Anyway voted lower RoF and reduce creep spread. Higher HS multiplier is probably the way to go also. I’d love to test some laser accurate weapons.

Kills are already too fast, if anything damage should be lower…

People are incredibly afraid of a long TTK which is understandeable. However, the way it stands now you can have incredibly random outcomes in duels due to the high damage and especially the high headshot damage. Fights can be over before you know it and that´s something that wasn´t really the case in W:ET or ETQW.

I’m mostly medic, that’s why I want a higher HS damage. I am not able to engage a soldier 1v1 because I have to land 5 headshots to kill him and he can kill me with 5 body shots. It was over nerfed and needs to be fixed.

Higher HS damage
This will keep the TTK around the same for all classes (that aim for the head) and raise the TTK for body shotters. This is good for competitive play because everyone will be close to equal in 1v1s. In pubs there will be a difference between classes because everyone doesn’t aim for the face (so a medic will take longer to kill than a soldier etc.) The increased accuracy will also make things less random and more skill based (necessary for comp play.)
