Hi Bobb!
You can use the tool Clip:

Clipping is cool!

lol  and how do u make something slide? like ice or something

(Loffy) #5

There is a shader called Slick I think. Try it. (It is invisible in the game, though, but it is really slippery, like ice.)
Location: Textures β€”> Common β€”> Slick.

PS. Really good tutorials: http://www.spyjuice.com/ld.htm

it is easyer to make a slope by pressing e or v and u can just drag the edges (or vertexes)

(Mark.C) #7

or you can just hold down ctrl and drag your mouse outside of the brush.

(SCDS_reyalP) #8

Beware that unless you know what you are doing, v is very likely to bad things to your brushes. See this post for some more info http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=2523#20045

Note that vertex edit may be improved in GTKRadiant 1.5… I have not tested it.

(kamikazee) #9

GTKRadiant 1.5 has auto-cleanup, if something goes wrong it simply deletes the corrupted brush.

Sorry that i’m writing here, but i have a question:

How import from one map objects to other map? :???:

Thanks.

(kamikazee) #11

There are 3 ways:

-Load in the first map. Select the brushes you want to copy and make sure they stay selected.
Load the second one and the brushes should still be selected, move them to the place you want them and unselect.
Done.

-Load in the first map. Select the brushes you want to copy and do Edit->Copy. (Cut would work as well, but it will ruin the first map if you would save it)
Load the second one, and do Edit->Paste.
Done.

-Load in the first map. Select the brushes you want to copy and do Edit->Save selection as prefab. This will save the selected brushes in a seperate .map file.
Load the second map and do Edit->Load prefab. This will insert the prefab into the map.
Done.

The 2nd method is preferred if you want to copy it only once, the 3d if you need to keep the objects for other maps. In the last case you allso don’t need to open the first map every time you want to insert the object, just load the prefab again.
