Well, you can always play it on our clan server :slight_smile: . Basicly any features and modifications to the map will be tested on it before they will be released. The pre-release version of ctf-face was on that server for a month. Also my new Remake AS-OnceanFloor is going to be played there first too. 8)

And I am generally found the kind of maps I am going to do in the future, mostly Remakes of UT maps, with additions and modification for better ET gameplay… As I was an UT mapper in the past.

just checked the map out, looks good overall.
the towers are nice, the portals do need improvement.
the ground is a little to flat for my tastes personally, it can retain the same
style and shape, but more organic would really make it look nice.

ive never played the original, so i have nothing to compare to.

but its good overall. the portals i dont understand though… are they meant
just to have a place to go snipe from?

They are the same in UT so… we simply made the map exactly the same as far as we could :stuck_out_tongue:
So basically, yeah they are for the snipers :stuck_out_tongue:

the map is like to small,
Im not sure about the sizes, but in ut I had the feeling that the tower is higher … lol
maybe its exactly the same height, but the player was smaller? … idk

nice map

but I think I wold love it even more in double size

Imo the brushwork is perfect… it feels exactly the same size to me as in UT…

Anway… might not be the right trhead but i guess i can always ask here :slight_smile:
Im trying to do some effects with the teleporters and wanted a normal colored light near them, but i cant get the light entities to color?!
I set the “color” key to value “1 0 0” (which should be red?) but it’s always white… even if i try 0.3 0.6 0.0 for example… it stays white… and when using dlights it does work?!
Im using radiant 1.5 btw

select the light, and press K, that should bring up the color picker.

EDIT:
and it should be _color and not color afaik.

lol… sorry for offtopic :stuck_out_tongue: Ill try colour and _color… but why does it work with dlights and not with lights? Oh well… nevermind ^^

@ailmanki : The map is actually bigger than it was in UT. It is 96/84 times bigger. I did not scale it due to the fact that Radiant does not like to operate with numbers with lots of decimal places.

ok, I noticed in the meantime that some texture skin pack, has changed the look, I guess that is the cause… why i had the feeling its to smal

color doesnt do anything for me… i have tried it both ways, and if you
pick the color with the picker, you will see that it sets the key _color

yah, that’s what the o/t was for, it was the spelling I was refering to. The word is spelled colour not color, and yes, I know both spellings are accepted

I thought color was american and colour was english? ^^
Dunno though… ET seems to need color and not colour so :stuck_out_tongue:
