I know all of these :slight_smile: The portals are not a big trouble tho.

The Gravity will be changed in next release. I am currently testing it for the trickjumps and overall playability. Just want to get it just right.

The box is fine, I didnt want to ad anymore clan adds, so decided to do that, is on ToDo list to reconsider :).

portal is like that or u forgot the shader?
the gravity, yeh well it would have a better feel, i tried with 500 gravity and it felt much better, as you run the enemy sniper can take u down easily.
and the sky is so perfect, i thought i will see some box but this is great, i barely notice the edges.
an excellent map, the vo-s are very good also and the looping music makes a good ambience.

Portals are right. No shader is missing. I didnt do a lot of work on them. In next release I am going to add sound to them + the spalsh and dlight.

The box being visible was actually my mistake. Orignially, the map had a totally black sky (apart from the earth) and the box had the same black sky on the outside to render it invisible.
After we added stars, you could see the stars on the box aswell, looked weird…
I quickly made the outsides of the box caulk, thinking that would stop it from drawing, but i realised after a 30 min compile that it didnt… and didnt want to recompile just for that :stuck_out_tongue:

Portals will also be changed in next release. We didn’t think it was much of an issue for a beta release.

Gravity, I agree, we could have changed it, tbh i didn’t think of it… maybe troy did, i dunno…

Also, I want to make it a bit more clear which tower is for which team/flag… It might look very clear with the corona’s in the screens, but that is with corona distance set to extreme, and many people won’t even have corona’s enabled… maybe some colored lights or flags (like ā€œdrapesā€ hanging from the sides or something)… we will see.

I’m waiting on the new one, and hoping we can get this one on our server… But need to make waypoints then, since we are running bots to keep it populated -.- …

Anyway, still great work, trying to get it to our rotation.

I have waypoint file for this map.

For 0.5 ombni-bot - bad waypoint (The bots are running around, getting the flag but rarely bring it back, if you need this waypoint please post additional request)

and for 0.65 - good waypoint.

I have played around with some gravity settings and in the next release we will use something around 400-600 instead of normal 800. Actually 500 is the best setting, as you can climb down the tower loosing ~ half hp.

It is also possible to adjust this setting in server config, just add g_gravity 500 before starting the map.

Current todo list:

  • Add portal texture
  • Add portal sound
  • Add portal splash + dlight
  • Add low gravity
  • Add a team specific textures to towers
  • Fix the clan box
  • Fix the ambient sound *(it seems to be located IN the map, which is true :lol:)
  • Fix the star texture, apply the sphere conversion.

Mmm I think thats enough for fp2 :smiley: :lol:

its just the speaker in the middle of the map. If you use headphones you can locate it quite accurately :slight_smile: :lol:

Really? lol :stuck_out_tongue: I haven’t tried headphones… i set it to global with extremely large range so though that would do :stuck_out_tongue:
