Crosshair options and ingame options

I only found out yesterday that you could make your crosshair a dot. I favour this far more than the default, as it allows me to see more of my target, and spread doesn’t matter if you know the gun you’re using well, and tapfiring.

But what I was surprised at is how you could only change this ingame. Shouldn’t the options ingame and in the main menu be the same? Why can’t I change crosshair or HUD alpha out of game? Kind of annoying for me.

Could we also get some more crosshair options? I currently am using dot, but I would like a compromise between dot and the default. Also HUD positioning, still really want that, current HUD still sucks.

Personally I’d like a > < crosshair and a few more color options so I can maybe brighten it up more since I’m totally blind at times.

You can change the colours ingame, with four sliders, three for colour (RGB) and one for Alpha. But the problem is you have to be ingame, and the maps are all really colourful, so there isn’t a clear cut colour that works well.

The inconsistency in menu options is really messed up tbh. It’s like they were handled by two completely different teams.

I would like a smaller crosshair or the classic one from CS, where you can do all the things yourself.

I’m happy with the dot, but customisability like Quake has would be awesome.

You should perhaps check out Mumble overlay crosshairs as an alternative until more are added.

How to change the crosshair to a dot?

Select the dot option in the game/crosshair options.
